Do you think there will be an after covid and before covid thing in our calendars? Well I do believe it is going to effect us and change a lot which was in our life but it changing the concept of our calendars is a funny thing and yet it can happen. Well it has already changed our lifestyle in an unbelievable way. It made things better and worse.
The pandemic was maddening to some people while some came out innovative. It gave us time which we never had so much left. School life changed, all those funny little incidents in school are like reminiscences left behind. We are people who have always longed for a short vacation, it was just a week before the annual examination that we knew our school was going to shut down. OMG, I don't know how we all felt, we were flabbergasted and filled with joy, little did we know that this joy was short lived. Then came the lockdown and the buzzing streets turned into abandoned places-just places. All the dream vacations had been a line drawn in water, we were waiting for time to pass by and we never wanted either tide or time to wait for us, we just wanted it to run until it was time to reopen every closed shop. The economy stagnated and the world was in a dreaded fate. It was something which turned from just a mere holiday to a year long break which still continues. The rules became lenient but it was never the same and I doubt if it would be the same in future. Even the UN sustainability goals were disturbed, how terrible it was to students is really important for we in Kerala(India) spent a whole year online. Now the vaccination processes are on a trigger and we hope this covid 19 to be out of the vogue. Let something new happen, because we are all curious about the future and we certainly don't want it to remain the same. Movie releases came on OTT platforms, which still makes some big budget movies to wait. Many vaccines are developed and are being developed so let us wish this to be out of our way or if we think more we can also say we are going to kick it out of the way.
Many problems had been created and fortunately we have found many solutions so far, thanks to all those frontline workers, doctors, governments and all those unforgettable personalities who made a ray of light in this dark period of time.
Talk Soon,
Meenakshi B Krishnan.
